This artist's impression shows the first phase of the Scottish Covid Memorial, drawn by Kate McAllan.
In this album we have shared images of emotional and physical support, some of which were taken in Pollok Country Park. These informed the final design of the memorial.
Some feature members of the design team, or the park team and advisory panel; there are a series of new works created by one of my collaborators, Hannah Laycock; and some photos of people posing as supports at the open day we held at the hidden gardens, in Glasgow, also by Hannah. Below these are some early designs based on the photographs.
We have also included some images of the existing memorial benches.
The first phase of the memorial will open to the public in Spring 2022.
